Mark Driscoll ventures into some questionable topics yes, but I think it’s great that he DOES acknowledge those topics- because they’re a real part of society today. I don’t believe that Mark Driscoll in any way goes AGAINST the Bible with his “packaging”, but he does make a point of reaching out to all people. In a city like seattle that has more single, non christian people than most, Nick is right in saying that Driscoll “clearly and consistently sounds the trumpet of sexual purity and faithfulness in a city that has a Porn parade! He constantly challenges culture and holds it up to the standards of the bible. He is not looking to become comfortable in culture but rather to confront culture where it is with the truth of scripture, however provocative scripture may be (Song of Songs). “

There are many people that benefit greatly from Mark’s willingness to “go there”, and if he were marginalized because of a few people who waste their time blogging all day in an effort to try to blame others and judge them in response to the depravity of our world, then that would be a sad day. Mark Driscoll is an amazing pastor and before you argue against him, I suggest you do your research.

Titus 2:7-8 is instructions on how to teach young men by setting a good example. I fail to see how Mark Driscoll fails within this.

and @Tony:
I feel like your question is very unstable. Every time that you’ve sinned yourself and repented.. are you saying that you’ve never done that again ? If so, then that’s great, maybe you should be a pastor, better yet.. We can print you out a name tag or medal that says, “Jesus Jr.” .
