So today, March 14th, is Pi Day (3.14).
In Honor of that, and having fresh lemons, I made a Pie.
I followed the directions in the Better Homes & Gardens Cookbook (the checkerboard one) for the Crust, Pie & Merengue.

I just finished a day at the Solano County Fair. Naturally, I ended with my own tradition: a funnel cake. Instead of strawberries, this year I opted for some apples & cinnamon, and MmmmMMMMMmmm! It was delicious!
And the best part is, there are no calories at the fair! Well, thats what the sign said, so it must be true!
The reason I was there in the first place, was to take photos at the livestock auction for a website I’ll be putting together for the auctioneer. Hopefully they’ll work! At least one good thing came from it so far!

Particulate matter is up to 255 because of all the smoke in the air here. It hurts my eyes and lungs to be outside right now. According to the news, its just getting pinched by two opposing weather systems.
Its foggy just looking across the street.
Oh, and its still 107 degrees at 6pm.
